Jacob Gigler-Caro is a human being who is constantly questioning and brainstorming ways to better care for this place we call home. His mother refers to him as a hot potato as he has lived all over the map. Perhaps all the moving he did growing up inspired him to create this podcast. He is a music maker, caretaker of plants, a lover of silence and so much more.
Our Household grew out of his love for sound, the Earth's flora and fauna, and the human experiences that have shaped him. He is on a continuous quest to share what he has learned with others; with the intention of breaking down stereotypes, bringing people together, and deepening our relationship with the cosmos.
Connecting people to organic food is Daniel’s passion; making sure the food is nutrient rich and sustainably produced is his intention, along with helping people nourish the natural relationship we share with the land.
Daniel currently farms at Olivette Farm in Alexander, NC. When not farming, he revels in discovering the mysterious and intricate processes found in Western North Carolina’s wilderness along with participating in exciting projects such as Our Household Podcast.
He holds a M.A. in Philosophy and Ethics from Claremont School of Theology and continues to trust in the reality of a future society more aligned with the ongoing immanent relationship between cosmos and chaosmos.
